I am wondering, now that Christopher Tolkien is not heading the Tolkien Estate anymore, and there are talks about a Silmarillion movie even, might that mean an official Silmarillion saga expansion cycle?

you build the deck and put one deck each into a sleeve, not single cards. You literaly shuffle the decks, not the cards.

Absolutely agree, and I even did introduce friends to magic by teaching them EDH. Outch. One of them still asks when new games come up “this is nit like Magic, is it?”, he is so scared of it now 😉
I prefer non-customizable games for myself, too, most of the time. I love to build magic decks or decks for LOTR:LCG, but when I just want to play something, I might just grab Viticulture or Azul or some other game with some variability but without any pre-game activities. Which sadly makes some games stay on the shelf for far too long inbetween games, but the days where I can’t be bothered with pre-game customization/preparation are far more than thise where I am un the mood.
That might be the reason why I love deckbuilders and drafting games, as the customization is the actual game there.

Totally with you there. I don’t see people driven away feom solo gaming due to Tom or other DT folks saying they don’t solo – so why this obsession with them over and over again? They provide solid reviews with some insights on games, that’s it. What they think about soloing isn’t really a big thing. And definutely nit such a big thing to make a fuss about regularily.

Our first play of Viticulture was not successful for Juliana – my tour for the meeting of elementary school teachers for me the last 2 needed VP to end and win the game, one year before she could have caught up and maybe even won. Interesting how different strategies actually play out, mine was cheap wine, natural aging and visitors, hers was more quality wine.
