/u/bboomslang on Anyone rocking 12, yes 12, duals?
yeah, well, you can bounce something non-tapping, too, if you are smart. Or you are me and stare at a hand with 1 bounce land and 1 tap land and go “yeah, looks great, I keep it”.
Some days we need to learn the hard way.

/u/bboomslang on Anyone rocking 12, yes 12, duals?
Well, you could do that with bounce lands before, too. And I have played 10 duals (4 gain, 4 guilds and 2 bounce) sometimes. Until my main opponent added Bogles to his deck selection and it just felt bad to still assemble my mana base while he killed m…

/u/bboomslang on New MTGO Commander Ban List, starting May 10
So actually what happens if a been wants to play and buys a precon on mtgo – all of them run sol ring, which now is banned. I guess a great way to enable that format. /S

Another one would be Serene Heart, a favorite of mine against Bogles. Just so much fun to see all pants fall like leaves in autumn.
/u/bboomslang on What’s your favorite deckbuilder game and why?
Valley of the Kings is a neat little deck builder that I love, but sadly my wife doesn’t. So it by far does not get enough play. My personal favourite for solo play is Shadowrun: Crossfire, since it is quick to setup and tons of fun to play with the high caliber ops expansion. The one getting the most play, though, is Paperback, since that is one of the go to games I grab to bring in new players and both my wife and I really love it. It is one of our most-played games.

So are we not allowed to talk about how the owner of Shutterfest won his own pay-to-enter photography contest anymore?
There was a pretty big thread in here about it yesterday that’s gone now. Wtf?
Edit: Looks like OP deleted his post because the Shutterfest guy contacted OP’s employer and cost him his job, not the mods actions in here.
Edit 2: The owner, Sal Cincotta, replies to the accusations here. In my opinion, he either has the world’s worst situational awareness or is an unapologettic fraud and is just trying to ride it out. Bonus comedy from the people in the thread defending him from all the “special snowflakes.”
Edit 3: Thanks for the gold, stranger.

/u/bboomslang on Grixis Flickercraft
Maybe go for Exclude as a counter instead of counterspell if you struggle against creature-heavy decks? Sure, one mana more, but cantrips and the color-requirement is more friendly towards three-color decks. Prohibit might be another option, but that m…

/u/bboomslang on Blandest duals now legal
Sadly they are just guild gates without being guildgates, which is not that relevant outside some very few cards. So I guess it only would show up in dual-color decks that are willing to run more than 8 ETB lands and need hard color requirements in bot…

/u/bboomslang on Greater Sandwurm has been a stud in TE for me
yeah, I think it is more something for exhume decks than pure TE decks. With exhume it looks to be boss, since when you get it out early, the opponent might not even have a qualifying blocker for two or three more turns. The plays from /u/kungfutrees l…
