Sounds cool. Minuum is a touchscreen keyboard that wants you to make mistakes Minuum started life as a research project at the University of Toronto, but has since turned into a tool that makes your keyboard much smaller, without sacrificing speed. Minuum looks like a QWERTY…… (View on Google+)

Offline editing sounds great – I could definitely use that, since my work directory is usually quite small (only the last 2-3 months of pictures have space on my internal SSD), but often I would like to not only browse older photos but work on them, too (for example doing simple black and white conversions […]

Something for #monochromemonday – one of the sculptures from Skulpturprojekte 2007. Taken with my Galaxy Nexus and postprocessed in Snapseed on same device. Guess that makes me totally hip now 😉 (View on Google+)

Definitiv empfehlenswert.

							Orchid
Just a very quick test with my GH1 and the Oly 405/1.8 – together with the Kenko MFT automatic extension tubes. Handheld and really just a quick shot at our orchids, but I like what can be done with the extension tubes. The 45 handles nicely even in that situation, but I would really like […]

Wow, interesting project. Allthough I guess nowadays with 3D printers you could just design your own and print it – it is a very simple concept, really just a light-tight box with a place to hook up the lens. I love how weird little concepts like these now get an audience and a chance on […]

Still waiting for the android version. Should be a lot of fun to play, the descriptions of the early cards and card sets read quite good. And should be a perfect game for mobile. Meh, the goodnews developer throws in the towel. Not even considering switching to one of the upcoming google reader compatible backends to serve his paying customers. Sure, everyone is entitled to his or her own decision what to work on, but if you sell a tool and then do the exact same thing as google […]

							Two Roses
Far too rarely do I go out with my Leica, but almost always come back with some keeper, if I do. I still use the old M8 and still am quite happy with it, usually with the Zeiss C-Biogon 2.8/35 mounted. I really like that combination. Something for #monochromemonday again. Taken with my #leica M8 and postprocessed with #lightroom and #SilverEfex – control points are really nice, in this case a slight light on the face and some light structure reduce. (View on Google+)

A visit at the Tuchmacher Museum in Bramsche. This was more of an “accidental” visit, since we originally planned to go some place else but canceled that due to the heavy traffic on the highway – and ended up here. Still a fun day with some interesting stuff to see. (View on Google+)

							Hundertwasser Building
And another HDR with HDR Efex – the Hundertwasser Building. Original images were quite flat due to the light situation, this one pulls out the colorful building much better. And what you can't see, in the original images someone walked right through the bottom area and in the HDR image those ghosts are nicely removed. […]

							Inside St. Stephen’s Cathedral
And another one from Vienna: this time processed with Nik #hdrefex based on a line of 7 shots (hand-shot HDR). I am quite happy what HDR Efex could get from my hand shot stuff, I think I will use that a bit when the situation calls for it! (View on Google+)

I haven't forgotten #monochromemonday – so have something from my last #vienna photographs. Shot with my GH1 and the 2.8/12-35, post processing with #lightroo and Nik #silverefex (yep, I got it with the current collection deal). I doubt I will do many conversions with it – I prefer the streamlined process of Lightroom – but […]
