I played a game of Tikal.

That already is awesome, but also that I will get two of his swamps is! Much better than just yet another Planeswalker I will never play, like that angrath.
WotC must make more sustainable packaging decisions

/u/bboomslang on What is your biggest "flex" card?
Aside from the revised Duals and Gaea’s Crade (which are usually known to players even in casual pods), it usually is my Mox Diamond. It’s just the closest we got to actual moxen in EDH and when it hits the table, it usually evokes some reactions. People just don’t see them that often, I guess. Lion’s Eye Diamond is another good one, but that I only play in cedh decks, as it is just a combo piece. Mox Diamond can go in any deck that wants the speedup.
/u/bboomslang on In your opinion, which deck box looks better? Getting a gift for a friend!
Obelisk every day, every deck. I have two of them and they are just gorgeous.
/u/bboomslang on I loved the Playing With Power budget idea! What are your best and cheapest "cEDH" decks?
I am cheating a little in that the core cards of my Ukkima Foodchain Aluren deck are quite expensive, so instead the commander, I disregard the price of the core engines, but after that, the rest of the deck is sub 100€. Budget restrictions can be lots…
/u/bboomslang on Is Burning Inquiry worth playing by CEDH standards in Grixis specifically?
As already mentioned, this card really shines if you play Underworld Breach in your list (or Yawgmoth‘s Will to an extent), because you care less about the discards then. But still then, there are multiple better wheel effects in Grixis that are good o…
/u/bboomslang on Give me your personal cEDH "dark-horse" commanders
Teshar and Ashaya would it be for me, both are not too common and when people don’t know about the many interactions of their cards, they can sneak in for a win. Both have high redundancy in combo pieces, too, and for their combo pieces at least a dece…
/u/bboomslang on After 1.5 months, where are we with Lithoform Engine?
It is great for Golos "big splashy spells" – you either double up his tutor for lands, his activation, or any of the spells you cast with him, to double up the value.

Yeah, I can see the suspend cards being better in a Citadel list. But are there any current Citadel lists in cEDH? I do run one in casual, but haven’t seen it in cEDH lists lately.

yeah, “current turn + 3 more” isn’t what I call fast at all. For a one-shot mana burst that you have to plan three turns ahead of time – nope. In some cases you could cascade into it or stuff like that, if your decks falls that way, then it might be ok (similar as Electrodominance makes Wheel of Fate kinda fringe playable).
In what I see as the current top decks, I would say it is far too slow.
/u/bboomslang on Deckbox.com update?
well, they still only use their own pricing engine (with merged prices from Amazon, I think), so their single prices are bonkers and so you can’t really use them to value your collection or your deck. Other than that, it is quite ok, but I still prefer Moxfield, because the statistics are really limited on deckbox. And it just doesn’t look as spiffy as the competition. I still use it to track my collection, though, because it is the most complete solution for that – even obscure sets and supplemental products can be selected for printings.
/u/bboomslang on Final version of my new insanely strong commander box. LMK what you think. 1 finger to close and lock it….and it doesn’t open by accident even if you toss it down the stairs!
you get it open once. then you buy a new one.
/u/bboomslang on Dargo and Malcolm, Pirate Storm cEDH
Ya know, I love the options that Commander Legends opened – who would have thought a pirate storm build could be a viable cEDH deck before? I totally look forward to the silly brews coming out of this all.
